Slightly addicted to posting blog questions

Dont use google for this one. I work at HP Labs, so while digging up some company history, I found that in the 1960s, HP spun off a small company called Dynac, which specialized in producing digital equipment, and was later absorbed back by HP itself. The name Dynac would probably have stood for "Dynamics" or "Dynamic Electronics" or something of that sort, but what was the other MAJOR reason why this name was chosen?

Well, the answer is that when you turn the "hp" logo upside down, you get "dy" for Dynac. Anand Shankar, Joshan and Phanindra (on buzz) get this right.

Another One to pamper the neglected child

This one is from Annie Sen Gupta (SEQC Goa).

Q: What's wrong with this picture? For additional kicks, who is the person on the extreme right?

From the horse's mouth :

Answer: When Li Na won the French Open women's singles earlier this year, there was a goof-up during the awards presentation. The wrong trophy (a small replica of the winners trophy, which the winner gets to keep) was awarded to the losing finalist Francesca Schiavone. The second picture shows her with the correct trophy.

The woman at extreme right is the Australian Evonne Goolagong Cawley, who became the first non-white person (she is of Aboriginal descent) to win a Grand Slam singles title, when she won at Roland Garros 40 years ago. That was one of 14 Grand Slam titles that she won in the 1970s.

Only Anand Shankar gets this fully right.

Sniff........I'm a bit emotional right now

Sniff....I haven't posted in this blog for years, and that is just WRONG. This blog is our baby. Our neglected child. I ain't a good dad. Sniff......But anyway, here is something I came across recently. This house is located in Swansea, Wales. Someone who drove past the house noticed something odd about it, took a pic of it, and posted it on the net. It became a huge internet sensation a few months ago. Why all the fuss?

Well, the answer is that the house does indeed look like Adolf Hitler. For those of you who disagree, I shall lend you my very thick spare pair of spectacles so that you can take another look. I mean.....c'mon....that DOES look like Hitler.

Correct answers were received by Anand Shankar, Goutham Harsha and Jayasree Sankaranarayanan (on Buzz) and Ameya. Use rot13 while posting the answer. Caesar didn't invent the cypher for nothing.......
