Rapture of the Deep is actually nitrogen narcosis where nitrogen enters blood stream at high pressure that is encountered during diving which causes hallucination.

There were a few takers for Astraeus , but Astraeus is the name of the Airline, which charters out aircrafts, whose services were used by Iron Maiden for their 'Somewhere back in time' tour.This craft, used by the band has the specific name 'Ed Force 1'. Astraeus is close, but not quite there.

The singer explained that he wrote this song due to his interest in history. He commented that he would have wanted to be a history teacher if he had not become a musician.
